My story

This October, we're taking on a personal challenge to raise £1,000 for Prostate Cancer UK and, more importantly, raise awareness of a disease that has touched our family.

Our much loved Dad and Grandad, John Sheridan, has recently been diagnosed with prostate cancer. Throughout his life, John has devoted himself to helping others, supporting people through injuries, challenges, and difficult times. Now it's our turn to support him.

If John has been part of your life, helped you in any way, or if you're simply one of his family or friends, we would be incredibly grateful for your support.

Every day throughout October, we will be walking 5km each to raise as much money and awareness as possible.

We also want to use this challenge to encourage men to take their health seriously.

Please don't ignore changes or concerns about your health. Speak to your GP about prostate cancer, discuss your symptoms and risk factors, and ask whether testing may be right for you.

If this challenge encourages even one man to get checked, then every step will have been worthwhile.

£1,000 is our fundraising target. Raising awareness is our bigger goal.

Please donate if you can and share this post to help not only our Dad and Grandad, but men everywhere affected by prostate cancer.

Thank you for your support ❤️
