My story

I'm sure that, like me, whoever is reading this knows at least one person who has been affected by prostate cancer. My aim is to step up (literally!) and do my bit to raise much-needed funds for this fantastic charity and help spread awareness.

I'll be wearing a different shirt from my lovely (my wife would say excessive!) football shirt collection for each walk or run. I may even be joined on a few of them by the best furry companion, Douglas!

Prostate cancer kills one man every 45 minutes, that's one man every half of a football match. But it doesn't have to be this way. This October, I'm signing for Prostate United. I'll be walking or running 5km every day alongside thousands of football fans, all taking on the same rival. Together, we're raising money to fund better tests, better treatments, and lifesaving research, so more dads, partners, brothers, friends and mates get the chance to see another matchday.
