My story

5K Every Day in October 💙

3 years ago we walked from Wembley to Wycombe as part of the Football March.

This year, a group of us from Wycombe Wanderers FC have decided to take on the challenge of 5K every single day throughout October — running, walking, crawling… whatever it takes to get over the line.

That’s 155K in 31 days.

At the time of coming up with the idea, this sounded like a brilliant plan. We’ve since done the maths, looked at the calendar and realised we may have massively underestimated how hard this is going to be.

There will be early mornings, dark evenings, sore legs, questionable excuses and probably a few more walks than runs. But it’s all for a very good reason.

We’re raising money for Prostate Cancer UK, supporting their work to raise awareness, fund research and help men and their families affected by prostate cancer.

So, while we’re putting our bodies through 31 days of questionable decision-making, we’re hoping you’ll help make it worthwhile.

Every donation, however big or small, will help.

And if you see a group of exhausted Chairboys crawling around High Wycombe in October… please don’t laugh. Or at least wait until we’ve finished the 5K.

5K. Every day. 31 days. 155K. One team. One great cause. 💙
